How It Works

Clear from the beginning.

Each assignment starts with an understanding of the residence, the required level of presence and the responsibilities that need to continue while the usual arrangements are unavailable.

The Process

A straightforward handover from enquiry to return.

The exact arrangements vary by residence, but the process is intentionally straightforward.

01

Initial conversation

We discuss the location, dates, reason for cover and the general requirements of the assignment to establish whether the arrangement is suitable.

02

Agree the brief

Responsibilities, routines, access arrangements, communication preferences and escalation contacts are agreed before the assignment begins.

03

Residence handover

A practical handover provides the information needed to understand the residence, household routines, animals, expected visitors and anything requiring particular attention.

04

On-site presence

During the agreed period, established routines are followed, authorised access is facilitated and any concerns are communicated through the agreed channels.

05

Return handover

At the end of the assignment, the residence is handed back with any relevant updates, observations or outstanding matters clearly communicated.

Communication

As much contact as required. No unnecessary noise.

Some principals or household managers prefer brief scheduled updates; others only want to be contacted when something requires attention. The reporting approach is agreed in advance and adapted to the needs of the assignment.

  • Agreed check-in frequency
  • Preferred communication channel
  • Immediate escalation where required
  • Concise updates rather than unnecessary reporting

Before Arrival

The important details are established before arrival.

A clear handover helps prevent assumptions and allows the residence to continue operating smoothly.
